Please take note of the below mentioned President’s Message with regard to the WHRC
It is with a great sense of pride I announce that the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka was awarded the rights to conduct the ‘World HRD Congress in Sri Lanka in 2020 which however had to be rescheduled to be held in 2021 due to the Covid19 disruption. Thus, CIPM will host this important global event under the aegis of the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA) from 6-8 of December 2021.
The World Congress on People Management is held once in every two years under the aegis of the WFPMA. The previous event was held in Chicago, USA in 2018. CIPM Sri Lanka takes pride in hosting the World HR Congress this year and it is significant that the event is hosted by a South Asian country for the very first time.
In this Covid19 disturbed world we need resilience and inspirational leadership to proceed into the future. New expectations and challenges have emerged in managing people amidst the current global pandemic. Even in critical times, innovation, best HR practices people engagement and trust play key roles to gain sustainable business growth in organizations. It is an opportune time to mirror the future and take up the challenges of rebuilding the future in this Covid19 ravaged world. The theme of the World Congress on People management is “Exalting People Professionals in a global pandemic, Explore, Expand and Excel”.
In the context of the above thoughts, global HR leaders will find the World HR Congress an apt place to discuss the HR challenges of today whereby an integrated approach can be adopted to brainstorm the best approaches to strategizing, reshaping, and developing the global “HR New Agenda.” It is needed for the betterment of every nation across the globe. This in turn will show the way for business organizations to “Bounce Forward” meaningfully to strategically rebuild for future sustainability.
This year’s HR Congress will be delivered virtually by world-renowned speakers who will share their experience and knowledge spending much time. There is new hope in overcoming the Covid19 virus in the wake of results of medical research. Hence business leaders and the HR fraternity across the world can deliberate at the sessions on strategic and proactive measures to bring back viability and success to their organizations and their respective nations.
I request all leaders and HR practitioners in the world to join the conference .
Best wishes
Jayantha Amarasinghe
